Please review all of our recommended Accessories, as they offer all of the products that you will need for a hassle-free, seamless setup of your simulator enclosure.
Before purchasing, please view the Specifications tab to confirm that the Overall Enclosure Dimensions for the Listing Size that you have selected will be suitable for your space.
Your Choice of Impact Screen Material
Choose from Carl's Place Standard, Preferred, or Premium impact screen material. Each option will provide a floor-to-turf image with a bottomless edge and minimal bounce back.
Black Nylon Enclosure
The nylon enclosure provides for a tough surface to catch any stray shots that attempt to leave the simulator while also surrounding the simulator to provide for an immersive experience.
Steel Fittings
Corner fittings are included to connect the framing pipes for your simulator. We highly recommend that you purchase the
Carl's Place Pipe Framing Kit accessory, otherwise you will have to purchase 1-inch EMT pipes from your local hardware store to complete the assembly of your DIY Enclosure.
Ball Bungees and Zip Ties
You will receive releasable zip ties as well as 6" and 9" ball bungees to secure your screen to the frame. Extras are included so you can experiment with finding the perfect balance of tension and slack for your screen. How close you are hitting to the screen, ball speed, clubs, and spin rate all impact the responsiveness and acoustics of your screen.
Net Wall Extensions
Net Wall Extensions attached onto your frame enclosure and catch errant shots to the left and right of the hitting area so they do not hit the walls of your home. Hook and loop strips are used to attach the Net Wall Extensions to the frame and sandbags (fill not included) at the bottom hold them in place.
Pipe Framing Kit
The Pipe Framing Kit is an essential accessory should you wish to have a hassle-free setup. The kit includes black, powder-coated EMT pipes that are pre-cut to the exact length required to fit your enclosure dimensions.
Foam Inserts
The Foam Insert Kit protects your enclosure frame from errant shots. The foam inserts are the perfect length and profile and are inserted behind the screen flaps of the DIY Golf Simulator Enclosure to give you extra peace of mind while hitting balls.
Safety Baffles
Safety Baffles protect the ceiling of your simulator enclosure while hitting higher shots. They are positioned across the width of your simulator enclosure on the ceiling.
Back Cover Kit & Back Cover Pipe Kit
The Back Cover Kit protects from any intruding light on the rear portion of your simulator enclosure. The Back Cover Kit ensures that you will achieve the highest projected image quality while also providing your simulator enclosure with a polished appearance so none of the rear framing is exposed. The Back Cover Pipe Kit is also offered so you do not have to purchase framing pipes from your local hardware store.
Please Note: While purchasing the Pipe Framing Kit, Foam Inserts, Safety Baffle, Back Cover Kit, or Back Cover Pipe Kit, be sure to choose the size that corresponds with your Golf Simulator Enclosure size. *Safety Baffles should match the width of your simulator enclosure.
Depths:
Available in 5' standard depth. The enclosure frame's footprint extends ~1 ft behind the screen.
EMT Requirements
Unless you have purchased the Pipe Framing Kit accessory, you will need to purchase 1-inch EMT (electrical metal tubing) from your local hardware store to complete your frame. Please note, 1-inch EMT is the US trade name of the material, however the true outer diameter is 1.163" or 27mm.

Carl's Place C-Series DIY Golf Simulator Enclosure Kit Assembly Instructions & User Manual
Q: How far away should I stand from my impact screen?
A: For the safety of both the golfer and the screen, we recommend standing a minimum of 10-12 feet away from the screen.
Q: Can I iron or steam a golf impact screen?
A: We do not recommend ironing your golf screen, as it's easy to damage the material. To avoid wrinkles, unpack your screen immediately upon arrival and fold it loosely if you need to store it. Most wrinkles will smooth out naturally when the screen is mounted with tension using zip ties or ball bungees. If needed, you can carefully use a clean, consumer-grade steamer with distilled water to help remove wrinkles without leaving water marks.
Q: Can I wash my golf screen material?
A: For cleaning tips and best practices, check out our article on 'How to Clean Your Golf Impact Screen'.
Q: Are there safety concerns when using a golf simulator?
A: Safety is a priority with any indoor golf setup. Follow the assembly manual provided with your enclosure, keep children, pets, and spectators out of swing range, and protect nearby walls, ceilings, and windows. Always review the Terms of Sale when using Carl’s Place products.
Q: Do I need to use a golf hitting mat?
A: Yes, a golf hitting mat provides a cushioned surface to protect your joints and allows for more realistic practice. When choosing a mat size, consider your stance and whether you need space for both right-handed and left-handed golfers. Sizes like 4’x5’ work for most golfers, while 5’x7’ or larger mats offer more flexibility.
Q: What is the difference between Carl’s Enclosure Kits?
A: Carl’s DIY Golf Enclosure Kit offers a simple, budget-friendly way to create a safe golf simulator space. The Pro Golf Enclosure Kit offers premium materials, larger sizes, and extra safety features, ideal for commercial setups. The Curved Golf Enclosure Kit adds an immersive curved screen for a panoramic playing experience. For a full comparison, check out our 'DIY vs. Pro' article.
Q: How big is the enclosure?
A: For Carl's Place DIY Enclosure Kits, we recommend you give yourself an absolute minimum of 2-3 inches buffer space from the height you have available. For width, subtract 4-6 inches from your available space to allow 2-3 inches of clearance on each side. Keep in mind that C-Series enclosures include a rear backset fitting that adds 8.25 inches to the depth, creating a built-in buffer for safety.
