Instead of sourcing putting turf, floor tiles, and a hitting strip separately and hoping they fit together, every IGO Single-Level Golf Simulator Flooring is custom-cut to fit our most popular enclosure options and ships ready to assemble.
IGO Local Muni Putting Turf is positioned atop interlocking 10" x 10" plastic floor tiles that keep the entire flooring system perfectly level, while regulation putting cups are pre-cut 12" from the impact screen to create the ultimate practice environment. The system is also designed to reduce impact noise and keep golf balls from bouncing unpredictably inside the enclosure.
Our Local Muni Putting Turf provides for an approximate stimpmeter reading of 10 with a slight directional roll bias. Designed to create a variety of fairway lies that you'd commonly find at your local muni, our IGO Local Muni Hitting Strip features a taller pile height compared to traditional golf mats. Weekend warriors love it for its forgiveness, while the more discerning player enjoys having the optionality to create a variety of downgrain and into the grain fairway lies on a single hitting surface.

Hitting Strip Placement: The IGO Local Muni Hitting Strip is centered side to side on the turf, 126" from the impact screen. If your room is less than 15' (180") wide, make sure there is enough clearance on both sides of the strip for a full backswing and follow-through. Have a narrower room or need a different layout? Q: How are the putting cups positioned?
A: Two regulation cups are pre-cut symmetrically, 12" from the impact screen and 18" off the centerline. The cups can be placed elsewhere upon request.
Q: Can I use my own hitting mat instead of the included IGO Local Muni Hitting Strip?
A: An IGO Local Muni Hitting Strip is included in the system. If you prefer to use a different golf mat, you can cut out a section of the turf and tile base to inset it.
Q: How does it arrive, and how hard is it to put together?
A: Your flooring ships as one pallet containing the interlocking tiles, putting cups, hitting strip and a single roll of putting turf. The tiles are palletized in the order they go down: start at the screen end and work across the front from left to right, then build backwards toward the room. No tools, glue or cutting are needed for the tile base.
Q: How is the putting turf held in place?
A: Double-sided carpet tape is included. It goes around the outside border of the tile foundation and around the cups and hitting strip before the turf is laid, so the turf stays flat and does not shift while you play.
Q: Will this reduce noise and ball bounce in my bay?
A: Yes, the interlocking plastic floor tile base absorbs impact noise and keeps golf balls from bouncing after hitting the impact screen.
Q: Does it fit both SIG and Carl's Place enclosures?
A: Yes, select your enclosure size and the turf is custom-cut to create a platform appearance for your enclosure with approximately 6" of flooring overhang on each side of the enclosure.
